Winter Solstice Blessings
May the longest night and the shortest day
Bring rest to your mind and soul, I pray.
May you find guidance and may you find peace
As the cycle of light will slowly increase.
Embrace the magic that the darkness bears,
Breathe deep in the chill and shift in the air.
May you always be blessed with the light from within,
And may well-being be yours as the new cycle begins.
December is here—a time to reflect on the year that’s passed, honor your accomplishments and set your sights on the road ahead. This month's energy invites you to wrap up loose ends, recalibrate your priorities, and step boldly into 2025 with clarity and purpose. Between the magic of the holidays and the transformative cosmic alignments, there’s a lot to explore.
This month we are focusing on the new moons. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “Once in a blue moon.” A blue moon is when there are two full moons in one month. It actually happens about twice a year. There are two new moons this month, and that is referred to as a Black Moon.
🌑 December 1 — New Moon in Sagittarius: Bridging the Old and the New
In last month's newsletter I spoke about this new moon technically falling on December 1st, but depending on where you live it may fall on November 30th. December’s first New Moon is your chance to look forward because it carries new adventures and growth. Sagittarius energy encourages big thinking, optimism, and exploration. It’s time to dream about where you want to be a year from now and take the first small steps toward it.
Reconnect with Your Vision: Revisit any goals or ideas you outlined last month. Are they still aligned with your values and aspirations? If not, adjust them now.
Map Out Your Next Steps: Dream big but act small. Identify one concrete action to kickstart momentum on your 2025 plans.
Expand Your Perspective: Read, learn, or try something that challenges your current worldview. Sagittarius thrives on growth through experience.
❄️ December 21 — Winter Solstice: The Turning of the Light🌞
The shortest day of the year isn’t just about darkness — it gives us the chance to celebrate the slow return of the light. The Winter Solstice is a powerful reminder that even in stillness, transformation is underway. Use this time to pause, reflect, and recharge.
Ways to Tune Into This Shift
Celebrate Quiet Wins: Reflect on the personal and professional milestones you’ve hit this year. Big or small, they all matter.
Plan Your Recharge: Winter invites rest. Whether it’s catching up on sleep, taking a tech break, or prioritizing mental health, give yourself permission to slow down.
Reconnect with Tradition: From lighting a fire to enjoying a hearty meal, lean into rituals that ground you and bring warmth during this introspective season.
Where in your life can you add more balance between effort and rest?
🌑 December 30 — Black New Moon: Dream Big, Set Bold Intentions
As the year ends, the rare Black New Moon sets the stage for powerful intention-setting. This is your moment to focus on the how of your 2025 goals. The energy here isn’t about quick resolutions; it’s about crafting a long-term vision you want to become.
Make the most of this potent energy:
Reflect on 2024: What went well? What challenged you? Use these insights to refine your direction.
Set Intentions for 2025: Be specific. Instead of vague resolutions, outline measurable steps for your goals — career, relationships, fitness, and personal growth.
Visualize Your Future Self: Imagine December 2025. What will success look and feel like for you? Write it down and create a plan to get there.
What’s one bold move you’re ready to commit to in 2025?
